The very first Sweet Valley book to be published was Double Love - and the story of how Elizabeth and Todd first (well, if you forget about Sweet Valley Twins for a while!) got together.
This book is obviously essential reading given its number and main story! Perfect introduction to the series.
Sweet Valley High #6 Dangerous Love
Dangerous Love (and #7 Dear Sister) concern Todd's new motorcycle and Elizabeth's reluctance to ride on it. Will she put aside her fears, and her parents orders, in order to please Todd?
It doesn't look like she has a choice, given the number of other girls queuing up for a ride.
Sweet Valley High #14 Deceptions
Elizabeth is very flattered when fellow student Nicholas Morrow asks her out, but she would never dream of cheating on Todd...(lol).
Can she deceive her boyfriend, her sister and Nicholas? ...and actually get away with it?
Of course, her loyalties lie in the right place in the end. So we can forgive her.

Todd Wilkins is leaving Sweet Valley forever! Oh no!
In all seriousness, this book is heartbreakingly sad! Yet strangely addictive...I can't seem to stop re-reading it! Maybe its because it contains so many Elizabeth and Todd scenes which we all love, despite their depressing nature!
But hey, don't worry - as soon as you finish you can skip straight to #58!

An entire book dedicated to Todd. Ahh.
I have to say I really enjoyed this - we learn more about Vermont, there's a summer camp involved, and of course Todd and Elizabeth break up for a while.
Can Todd overcome his rivalry with an old "friend" from Vermont?
Sweet Valley High Magna Edition - Elizabeth's Secret Diary, Volume 1
The Beginning: Five stars! Couldn't be better!
The Middle: Excellent again! We get a different prospective of classic scenes from books such as Say Goodbye, and get to re-live some Elizabeth and Todd moments through Elizabeth's own eyes. Brilliant!
The End: Yup, thats what we like to see!

Again, I enjoy these diaries so much. They are all written from Elizabeth's perspective, so we get plenty of entires about Todd, which is what we want!
This book focuses on Elizabeth's secret harboring for Sam Woodruff (of all people...).
Sweet Valley High Super Edition - Falling for Lucas
This is the first (and only) Sweet Valley High book in which we get even a suggestion of Elizabeth and Todd "taking their relationship further".
Of course nothing happens...but its still very funny to see Elizabeth's reaction!

The opening scene to this series could not be better! Elizabeth and Todd looking forward to their lives together at university, thinking fondly back on their high school times. What could possibly go wrong?
Yes, Todd was an absolute idiot, (and the name Lauren Hill will forever be scorned by Elizabeth and Todd fans), but there are some moments here.
...Before it all goes very, very wrong!
Sweet Valley University #8 Home for Christmas
Although completely seperate for the entirety of this book, we still get some bittersweet Elizabeth and Todd scenes rehashed from their days at high school.
How will Todd handle seeing Elizabeth bring Tom home for Christmas, when he wants her back so desperately.
Sweet Valley University #26 The Trial of Jessica Wakefield
Quite possibly the best ending in all of Sweet Valley history.
Nothing more to say really! Nothing can top that last page!
Sweet Valley University #27 Elizabeth and Todd Forever
The most ultimate-ly named book in all of Sweet Valley.
Elizabeth and Todd are back together and ready to give their love another chance. A much more mature relationship can now develop, as they overcome so many obstacles to be together.
But can a storyline this amazing last for more than 2 books?
Sweet Valley University #28 Elizabeth's Heartbreak
The first few chapters of this book contain some of the most wonderful Elizabeth and Todd scenes ever written. Their love and appreciation of each other is so much deeper after having spent that time apart.
I know its not fair to blame everything on Gin-Yung, especially given the circumstances...but come on Francine!
You can't dangle a storyline like this in our faces, only to yank it away again.
Sweet Valley University #29 One Last Kiss
Todd is amazing in this book. We can't begrudge him that.
An extremely sad book, with some heartbreaking moments, but nevertheless, a fantastic read.
Sweet Valley University #33 Out of the Picture
We had to wait an entire Lifeguards mini-series for this book! (What was that about anyway?!)
We hoped so much it would go one way...although it obviously went the other...
Elizabeth's Secret Love Diary
The collective cheers of Elizabeth and Todd fans everywhere could be heard when this book was released...(or was that just me?) A fantasy weekend, a chance encounter, another try at love?
Can Elizabeth and Todd have one magical night together, and could it be the start of something amazing? (Again.)
...Unfortunately, No.
Still an excellent book, not to be missed at all.
